First Responder Readiness is functional training designed to promote an increase in cardio capacity, functional strength, and injury prevention in all populations.
It is designed with the First Responder’s fitness needs in mind, but is great for anyone who needs to improve their functional strength and express improved fitness overall. Training methods will be inspired by police and fire department physical requirements, Army boot camps, and Crossfit style workouts. Suitable for all fitness levels, with options for beginners and those who need more intensity.
The 5 week session includes 2 classes each week, held outdoors with some indoor equipment work possible. Each class is led by a fitness professional, for a safe and effective workout.
Expect to use a variety of equipment, including kettlebells, sandbags, and tires, and whatever else our devious trainers can improvise, plus lots of bodyweight exercises, for fast results and real-life training!
This is a fantastic way to jump start your summer training, prepare for a Spartan race, or just invigorate your workout routine. We welcome all fitness levels, and you do not have to be a First Responder to participate. For all our community First Responders, you can register for a flat $10, regardless of your membership status!!
