Running Clinics

Whether you’re brand new to running or looking to build confidence with a supportive group, the YMCA Running Clinic is designed to help you get started the right way. Led by Dawn Bergquist, this beginner-friendly run/walk clinic focuses on proper form, injury prevention, and building healthy habits in a fun and encouraging environment.

Participants will learn:

  • Proper running form and posture
  • Warm-up techniques
  • The basics of the run/walk method
  • Hydration and recovery tips
  • Shoe and gear recommendations
  • Injury prevention strategies
  • Helpful beginner running tips

Each session includes a guided 20–30 minute workout designed for beginners of all fitness levels.
