The Waynesboro Area YMCA is proud to announce the successful completion of a critical HVAC upgrade our Child Watch classroom thanks to an $11,000 grant from the Alexander Stewart, M.D. Foundation.
The total HVAC project cost approximately $28,000. With the the Alexander Stewart, M.C. Foundation’s contribution, this project was made possible, while we invested the remaining $17,000 to ensure the upgrade could move forward without delay.
The project replaced two aging HVAC units with a single high-efficiency system that now provides reliable heating and cooling throughout the childcare space. The upgrade creates a more consistent indoor environment for children and staff while reducing energy consumption and long-term operating costs, allowing the YMCA to invest more resources into the programs that serve the community.
This upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining our 50-year-old facility while being a responsible steward of community resources.
